FAQ
What is TX Sprouts?
TX Sprouts is research grant sponsored by National Institute of Health in collaboration with University of Texas at Austin, UT-School of Public Health, Seton, AgriLife Extension, and Sustainable Food Center. The grant supports school gardens and gardening, nutrition and cooking programs to help children eat healthier and prevent and treat obesity. But the grant really helps provide schools with the resources and supplies needed to build their own garden and sustain their gardening programs. We want the families and the children to be involved in every step of this program, from designing and building their garden to maintaining and sustaining it along the way and in the future.
Can I join the program?
Our project ended in Spring 2020. We are hoping to offer similar programs to more schools soon!
