Results:
Intervention schools increased their vegetable intake by 20%, to almost 3 servings per day
Improved Glucose control in intervention schools
Decrease in lipids (LDL Cholesterol) in intervention schools
12% increase in Time on Task (ability to focus in lessons) for intervention schools
Approximately 3 minute increase in moderate to vigorous physical activity and decrease of 9.4 minutes of sedentary behavior on garden days vs. non-garden days
Academic performance in intervention schools increased via TEA scores for STAAR Tests for intervention year
